Rules
How it works
Each round the players still in are drawn at random into groups of 3 or 4. Finishing near the bottom of a game earns strikes, and 3 strikes puts you out. Play goes on until one player is left.
Random pairing · Standard strikes. Players are drawn at random every round.
Strikes
In a group of four, 3rd and 4th take 1 strike each. In a group of three, 3rd takes 1 strike. In a two-player game, 2nd takes 1 strike.
Players who tie on a game share the strikes for the places they tied for, split evenly, so a strike can be a fraction. A player disqualified from a game takes the strikes for last place.
Ranking and ties
Players are placed by how long they lasted: players still in rank first, then later exits above earlier ones. Players who went out in the same round are separated by fewer strikes, then better finishes, then total machine score.
